There are actually several fig varieties from which you can grow a ficus miniature, the most popular of which are Ficus salicaria, benjamina, and microcarpa. Practically all ficus varieties with small leaves may be miniaturized and included in your collection.

Ficus Bonsai Care Tips
Of course, you will need to learn as much as you can about proper ficus Bonsai care. Among other things, you need to make sure your collection receives adequate amounts of light in order to remain healthy and strong. Too little light may cause them to become weak, discoloured, and vulnerable to disease.
It is best to display your indoor ficus near the window and supplement natural light with artificial light several hours each day.
Watering is equally important in caring for your collection. Under-watering can cause dehydration whereas overwatering can lead to drowning, both of which can cause the death of your plants. It is best to water when the soil has almost completely dried.
