2. Purchase a wooden piece that will be used as the base of the tree. For more appeal, find one that has natural curves, which mimic the look of a real tree trunk, complete with branches. If you cannot find a suitable piece of wood, then you can carve the wood yourself and fashion the trunk and branches in whatever style you prefer.

3. Gather some earth-toned rocks from the outdoors or from any art supply shop. Decorative rocks add to the overall appeal of artificial Bonsai  pieces. You may even apply clear epoxy glaze to the base of the rock to make your artwork sturdier.

4. Arrange the base of the tree in the pot filled with the decorative rocks, apply the epoxy, let it set, and leave it to dry overnight.

5. Choose any type of artificial leaves and flowers, if you want from a local crafts store and then affix them to the branches using strong crafting glue. You may also wrap copper wire around the foliage to hold everything together while you wait for the glue to dry. Once the glue has dried, you have the option of removing the wires or leaving them on. Take note that natural Bonsai  trees usually have such wiring to train its branches, so the wire may actually add to the natural appearance of your creation.
