Generally, though, this species needs significantly less water than the other species. What is most important is for you to make sure the water is not full of chlorine. Bottled water or rainwater works best.

General Juniper Bonsai Tree Care

Remember that you are caring for a living thing, which means you will need to feed it with the right amount of nutrients to keep it healthy. You might think that there really is no need to fertilize a Bonsai since you are trying to limit its growth, but that is not necessarily true. In fact, your plant is likely to die if you fail to provide it with enough nutrients. But, just like water, too much fertilizer can also harm, rather than help. It is wise to fertilize just a little with a good balance of potassium, phosphorus, and nitrates.
